Our professional Missing Pet Search Team operates throughout the country, and can offer vital assistance when you need it. The team is led by former police officer Tom Watkins, who has over 18 years of investigation experience.

Work and family commitments often mean that owners don’t have as much time as they’d like to devote scouring the area looking for their missing pet.

Similarly, many people appreciate the reassurance that some extra support can provide, in making sure as far as possible, that no stone is left unturned in their search.

For others, the prospect of knocking on strangers’ doors, can be a little daunting at such an emotional time, and they feel more comfortable waiting at home for the all important ‘sighting’ call, whilst an understanding team of professionals co-ordinate the search on their behalf.

Our uniforms mean that we are easily identified and taken seriously by members of the public. We are regularly approached with information by people in the area we’re working in. Neighbours who can sometimes have vital clues are often reassured by our photo identification card.

Often there is nothing more effective than good old traditional communication and speaking to people. With police experience in the team, our staff are trained to be as thorough as possible when making neighbourhood enquiries. Our ‘what, where and when’ approach can help to link sightings and information and build a picture of where a missing pet was last seen, and where they could be now.

By talking to everyone we see, (including door to door enquiries) our search co-ordinators can ensure that as many people in the area as possible are on the lookout for your pet.

All of our team are fully insured, so when we are given permission by a building owner, we can search their shed, garage, cellar or outbuildings. Often cats in particular can be scared or hidden from view, so whenever appropriate we carry a recording of the owner’s voice to play in these places so that the pet will be reassured, and more likely to make a sound.

Our search vehicles are fully equipped with a full set of rescue equipment, including two way radios, safe cat traps, and ladders for rooftop rescues.

If you are not able to be close to the search area whilst we’re there, we can relay photos of found pets to confirm their identity easily and quickly, whatever the distance involved.
